Nutritionists say that eggs are one of the most nutritive foods, and for maximum effect are recommended two to three eggs a day.
Eggs have all these years been a bad reputation, because there was a belief that cause high cholesterol. Therefore, people avoided them, especially those who had elevated levels of fat in the blood or a problem with cardiovascular diseases.
A series of studies that have been done in the last 10 years has discovered that the eggs are among the healthiest foods. Eggs are rich in proteins, healthy vitamins and minerals, said nutritionist Joe Lis.
How eggs can help you lose weight?
- Low calories
Weight loss involves counting calories and eggs can be important to all dieters. Even large eggs have a small amount of calories, about 78. If you take between two and four eggs and a plate of some healthy vegetables for breakfast, you’ll have a whole meal with only 300 calories.
- They are very nutritious
Regardless of the small amount of calories, eggs are very high in protein, which will keep you not feel hungry for a long time. Studies have shown that if you consume on a daily basis more protein and less carbohydrates, you can lose weight. High protein diets may reduce the desire to eat as much as 60 percent and prevent late night snacking.

Studies have shown that overweight women who, instead of donuts ate eggs for breakfast lost weight because they felt satiety and consumed fewer calories over the next 36 hours. In men, the feeling of hunger occurred after 24 hours.
Research has also shown that those who ate eggs for breakfast lost weight more than 65 percent compared to those who did not eat and that for only a week. Eggs are rich in cholesterol, but scientists believe that it is permissible to eat three eggs a day.
- They’re cheap and easy to prepare
Not only eggs are healthy, they are also friends of the wallet. Eggs can be prepared in several ways in a few minutes, whether you like them cooked, fried or scrambled.
Natural boiled eggs are healthiest because in their saving is not used oil.
